A dense burst of fine, translucent lines, thickest at a core, that reads at times as a fire and at times as an explosion. Some outputs are built from small, tight lines, others from large, sweeping ones. Colour sets the temperature: a red core in grey and black in one output, blue around a dark brown centre in another, dark green and ochre in a third.
Thousands of translucent lines are stacked and rotated, some small and some large. Where they overlap, colour and density build.
The series is about the moment a feeling breaks through, before there is a word for it. It aims at the temperature of that moment, how hot or cold it runs, carried by colour. Fire and explosion are the nearest pictures of the break itself: sudden and hot.
Part of the arc from Foggy Window and All That Noise to Almost Still: what happens on the inside just before it can be named.
Work in progress. The outputs shown are from the series as it stands.
